Terms of Service for SmartCheck Inventories

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the website and services provided by SmartCheck Inventories (“we,” “our,” or “us”). SmartCheck Inventories provides professional property inventory services, including but not limited to:


- Property inspections

- Detailed property condition reports

- Inventory reports

- Check-in and check-out services

- End-of-tenancy inspections

2. Service Agreements

Upon booking a service with us, you will enter into a contract with SmartCheck Inventories for the provision of the agreed services. The specific details, including pricing and service terms, will be outlined in your booking confirmation or contract agreement.


3. Booking and Payment

- Booking: You can book our services online through our website or by contacting us directly. Once your booking is confirmed, you will receive a confirmation email with the details of your appointment.

- Payment: Payment for services is due upon completion of the services unless otherwise agreed in advance. We accept payments via credit/debit cards, bank transfer, or other payment methods as indicated on our website. If payment is not received, we reserve the right to withhold delivery of reports or services.


4. Cancellations and Rescheduling

- Cancellations: If you need to cancel or reschedule a service, please provide us with at least 24 hours notice. If you fail to notify us within 24 hours or miss appointments, we charge £75.00 cancellation fee – this is to cover travel time and cost and also covers the lost revenue from undertaking another job elsewhere.

- Rescheduling: If you wish to reschedule an appointment, we will do our best to accommodate your request based on availability.


5. Client Responsibilities

- Access to Property: You are responsible for ensuring that we have access to the property to perform the agreed services at the scheduled time. If we are unable to access the property due to your actions or lack of coordination, additional fees may apply.

- Accurate Information: You agree to provide accurate and complete information when booking services, including property details, special instructions, and any other relevant information.

- Damage: SmartCheck Inventories is not responsible for any pre-existing damage or condition of the property. We only report on the condition as it is observed during the inspection.


6. Intellectual Property

All content on our website, including text, images, logos, and reports, is owned by SmartCheck Inventories or our licensors. You may not use, reproduce, or distribute any content from our website without our prior written consent.


7. Liability

- Limitation of Liability: Our liability is limited to the total value of the services you have paid for. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of our services.

- Force Majeure: SmartCheck Inventories will not be held liable for failure or delay in the provision of services due to circumstances beyond our control, including but not limited to natural disasters, strikes, or technical failures.


8. Confidentiality

We will treat all information you provide us, including property details and personal information, with the utmost confidentiality. We will not disclose your information to third parties without your consent, except as required by law.


9. Data Protection

Your personal data is processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy. By using our services, you agree to the collection and use of your personal data as outlined in the Privacy Policy.


10. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to our services if you breach these Terms or if we are unable to provide services due to unforeseen circumstances.


11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United Kingdom. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these Terms will be resolved in the courts of the United Kingdom.
